Story of the Stay :

One of the oldest surviving homes in Nainital, this Boutique hotel has Opulence, Luxury and Beauty of a Bygone era which no modern establishment can match. Each corner is worth spending time with. From the Artefacts to the Corridors decorated with History of the Royal Family of Princess Reena Kumari, it transports you into a different Universe. Mesmerised by the sheer comfort, luxury and lip-smacking food, I promise you will leave all your worldly stresses out when you step in.

Rajkumari Reena Kumari of Sahaspur Bilari is the owner of this magnificent Regal Property and I could feel the intricacies with which she heralded this renovation which took 6 years while keeping the essence of the place alive; Old furniture items or structures like the staircases, wooden ceilings etc. have been strengthened and resurged to Glory. This Property was part of a Bigger estate where ‘St. John’s Church in the Wilderness’ is also located.

No two rooms are alike which further makes it Boutique. While staying here, I could appreciate the larger and the very obvious things like the Chandeliers, Four Poster Beds as well as the little things like the Linen used – beautiful shades and feel. Staff is so courteous, smiling and graceful that by the end of my stay, I was feeling like Royalty myself. I know most of us Travellers look for Hidden places away from the crowded Touristy Destinations. Let me tell you this from the bottom of my heart, this one was a rare find for me.

The bird tweets, the view from my balcony, the quaint road on which the Property is Located, all made it quite a Hidden Gem!! So, it has both the benefits of being easily accessible with no non-tarred roads and the Character and Comfort of an Off-Beat Boutique Property.
