PROPERTY NOT REOPENED AS YET
I read about Alsisar 3-4 years ago in some travel magazine. The story of Frescos and Havelis felt like a fairlytale land of the Bygone era. I was transported mentally to Alsisar with that article and it felt so beautiful. Since then I was eager to make a trip to Alsisar happen.
Not many people know about Alsisar, which is a great thing for Travellers like me. If you want to take a walk around the village, casually chat up with the locals like the tailor or the village postman at the quaint Post office while passing by and soak in the pace of an era 200 years ago.
The Fresco Haveli at Alsisar seems like the perfect base to explore the Land of Havelis. It meets my criteria of “If I get Kidnapped and I open my eyes”, can I make a close enough guess of whether I am in a land of Royals or in a city where my happening evening would be a discotheque and not a village walk.
Highlights are the Frescos made out of stone color which have a life of 100s of years which we can see in the ‘Haveli’ and the sparkling white walls which look so radiant and peaceful. The pool right in the middle of the Haveli is one of its kind.
Rooms have frescos, colored glass panes, tea coffee maker, Chandeliers, four poster beds, tastefully done.
Antique heavy metal gates, beautiful royal arches and a swimming pool right in the middle to be able to appreciate all the beauty around while taking a swim.
Not to miss are the Puppet show by the Father son duo, Father with the puppets and son on the harmonium, and the beautiful ethnic dance performance by Chagan Singhji and his troupe.
They were just so adorable and still untouched by the fast paced materialistic life which has lost all innocence.
