Story of the Stay

The Ancient Greece Villa is located in Karjat, Maharashtra a few hours away from Mumbai. It is a Greek-style five-bedroom Villa with two exclusive swimming pools. The Villa is painted in iconic blue and white tints to replicate the Santori Island near Mumbai. The aura and ambience of the stay reminisces Greek aesthetics. Ornate Spanish tiles, Greek aesthetic, and floor-to-ceiling windows would make you experience Greece in India.

Walking down the streets of Greece, you’d see sun-kissed islands, a mix of old and contemporary architecture, and bougainvillaea cascading over balconies. Who would want to leave this land behind? That’s exactly what the homeowners of Luxury Ancient Greece Villa felt like when they came back from a trip and envisioned bringing Greece to India. The homeowner’s vision was to create a vibrant ecosystem resembling a Greek village, employing local villagers and utilising locally sourced materials. Each corner of the house is a unique discovery, with hand-picked Indian-made art and accessories to match the Greek aesthetic. "There’s a passageway that leads to this beautiful window overlooking the lake; that’s my favourite corner throughout the property," says the homeowner. "Every time I visit, I stand there, watching the lake, feeling calm in the middle of all the chaos."

A Greek-Island themed garden with a cool-blue pool and a huge sit-out welcomes you as you enter the Villa. To your right you can find Kairos Theos featuring a living room with a dining space and a bedroom with a pool view. Climb the stairs to access a bedroom on the first floor, offering a pool view. To your left you can find Kairos Theos featuring a living room with a dining space and a bedroom with a pool view on the ground floor. Climb the stairs to access two bedrooms on the first floor, offering a pool view. The Stay is adorned with Greek architecture and interiors that add laud Grecian charm.

Food:

Luxury Ancient Greece Villa has both Vegetarian and Non-vegetarian options for guests to choose from. The Stay offers you a wide variety of cuisines specially prepared by the in-house chef. The stay has a standard menu apart from which the team would help you craft a delightful menu for you during the stay. The Stay serves versatile cuisines using locally and freshly sourced ingredients. On instructions given by the guests, the Stay prepares meals according to the meal preferences and dietary restrictions; however, 24-hour lead time is required in such instances. The Villa offers South-Indian. North-Indian, Jain food, Chinese and Italian cuisines. Mutton and Seafood can be prepared with prior notice from the Guests. Kids below the age of six can enjoy free meals throughout the stay. The guests can enjoy meals four times a day: Breakfast, Lunch, Tea and Dinner; if the guests would like to have tea/coffee anytime during the day they will be provided with additional charges.

English Breakfast includes:

Bread, Butter, Jam, Tea/ Coffee, Hot/Cold Milk, Juice, Eggs (Sunny Side-up, Runny, Scrambled, Masala Omelette.

 

Lunch:

1 Veg/ Non-Veg Soup + 1 Salad+ 1 Veg dry + 1 Veg Gravy/ Non-Veg Gravy + Bread + 1 Rice + 1 Dal + 1 Dessert

 

Dinner:

1 Veg/Non-Veg Soup + 1 Veg Appetizer + 1 Non-Veg Appetizer+ 1 Veg dry + 1 Veg gravy/ Non-Veg gravy + Bread + 1 Rice + 1 Dal + 1 Dessert

 

Apart from the above-mentioned standard meals, the guests have varied options to choose as well. This fine dining experience would make your tummy say “efcharistó!”

Pool:

The stay has not one but two pools- double delight! Plunge into the blues to get rid of all the other blues. With every dip in the pool, you get one step closer to Greece. Leisure laps at the pool is a cool way to have fun with friends and family. The Stay ensures that the pool is well-maintained and regularly cleaned, so that the guests can dive into it carefree. The pool is surrounded by Greek aesthetics, taking a lap here is worth every minute. You host pool parties with your friends or play handball with your kids. This is an excellent way to spend quality time with your family-don’t miss it! You can bask in the sun by the pool-side in the evenings while you sip a glass of wine- so Greeky!

Cordial Staff:

The staff at the Stay are so welcoming and friendly. A care-taker is present on-site during the stay. The care-taker can assist the guests with Car/Bike rentals and cater to other needs of them. The staff can speak English, Hindi and Marathi, making it easier for out-station tourists to communicate with them. The guests can always take their help for anything during their stay. The staff are also trained to be around pets.

Ambience:

The entire property has a great touch of Greek aesthetics, the architecture, the art work, the decors and the interiors are accessorised with hand-picked Indian art to match the Greek aesthetics. You wouldn’t believe it, if someone told you that you were in India because the ambience is more than a replica of Greece. You’d have a tough time selecting which of your pictures should go on the Instagram grid as every corner here is Instagram worthy!

Kayaking:

The guests get to experience a complimentary boat-ride at CAMP MAX. There are enough boats for all the guests to experience this at one go. CAMP MAX has a petting zoo that can be easily accessed by the guests. The zoo is home to beautiful birds, swans, ducks, donkey, rabbits and a horse. The kids would love to play along with the animals while you sit back and gaze at the pleasant ambience of the zoo.
