Beach Family Resort

Akshata Thu, 30 May 2019

I remember the feeling of being here like I was in some tiny village of Goa, untouched by the touristy crowd. As time passes by it leaves you wanting more of it. The Resort is just a 2 minutes walk away from the Kihim beach. The drive to the resort was so beautiful. Think lush green paddy fields, the sound of the crashing waves, many many trees and the beautiful coastline. Beach Resort is one hidden gem very well kept. Each corner is watered with immense love and care. The Staff here is very welcoming, they greeted us with some Coconut water and their lovely smiles!

Rooms are spacious, simple, minimal and artistic. But let's just take a moment to admire the huge open to sky bathrooms, luxurious, sparkling clean and almost of the size of the room. And the balcony where I spent my morning, sipping on Coffee and catching up on some me-time. By the way, my balcony opened to trees of all kind letting in some sunshine on cold winter mornings. A view we rarely find in our busy city lives. It's somewhere between a homestay and a Resort. Never crowded like hotels as there are only a few rooms here, that gives you a very personalized feel. The staff goes out of their way to make it all memorable for you. There is an Inhouse Restaurant and Oh god! the food definitely deserves a special mention. I relished their super fresh & yummy Seafood Curries from locally sourced ingredients. Calling it delightful also would be an understatement.

Every other inch here is filled with an abundance of plants with Recliner Chairs in the middle, you can read a book or spend lazy evenings listening to the Birds chirp. Who would not love their stunning pool for an afternoon dip? And after that maybe some spa pampering.

Nothing like this hard find in entire Alibaug. We have made all our minutes count here and with Alibaug being so close to Mumbai & Pune, What is stopping you?

Don't miss to talk to Lena!

With the feeling of sharing their beautiful home to the people out there, Lena started working on her idea of Beach resort and that is one big reason this place has that homely vibe. Each corner of the Resort is a labour of love. Lena and Raj are lovely hosts. The staff is also very kind and warm, they make sure your experience is as memorable as it can be.

Experience at the property
I was super impressed with the property, everything here will take you close to nature from the old well to the many many trees. The food here was super yummy and the staff makes sure your stay is comfortable
Highlight of the property
The Food here is prepared using the fresh herbs grown by them. Every inch of the property is watered with love & care. During the season, you can see the full-grown fruits. I have added a picture of the big jackfruit tree. Find it below :)
Things that can be improved
Needs more signboards on the roads for directions.
If your choice is something between a homestay and Resort, don't miss on this. It is just a 40-min ferry ride from Gateway and then 20 min taxi ride to the destination from Mandva.
Suitable for
Weekend get away with family and friends. Fabulous for birthday celebrations, yoga camps, writing retreats, and unique health and wellness workshops.
