Rustic Craft Hamlet, Karjat, A place where you can truly embrace the artist within you. A wholesome experience that no other place can provide. A Paradise in itself, Rustic Craft Hamlet is a creative space where naturalists, artists, practitioners, performers, and educators come together to learn, create and share their philosophers and methods of practice. The Village is located on the outskirts of Mumbai City in the hills of Karjat Town. The Village is spread over 15 acres of farmland consisting of beautiful elements such as a beautiful man-made lake, a boutique stay, a Nursery with a bonsai village, and an Art Campus where numerous art activities are carried out occasionally. Built all with eco-friendly material this place has a very earthly feeling to it. The recycled wood and thatch constructed roofs add an element to the sheer beauty of this place. The project includes three cottages, a recreation center, common toilet blocks, a country-style café with an open-air amphitheater, and a country-style kitchen. Each cottage has two rooms and has been designed with wooden and thatched roofs using the cobb building process. Community living is the philosophy of the village and so the cottages have been designed with that in mind. In each cottage, there are four beds and attached baths with open-air sky showers and vertical landscapes that allow nature to interact at all times.
