    Festival- Diu celebrates many festivals including Christian and Hindu festivals like Diwali and Christmas. There is the famous Diu festival known as ‘Festa de diu’ or the Festival Village-which is the longest beach festival of Asia and spans across three months.
    Religion- Hinduism is the predominant faith followed. Due to Portuguese influence, you also get to see Christianity, in particular Roman Catholicism and a small Muslim Community.
    People- The people of Diu show great connection and resemblance with the culture and people of Gujarat. They follow the similar traditions and custom as that of Gujarat.
    Fishing- Due to rich marine life, fishing is an important part of the local community and culture of Diu. Fishing is often practised for economic purposes by the locals.
    Beaches- The Island is home to so many beaches such as the Ghoghla beach, Nagoa beach- one of the prettiest beaches of India and the Chkratirth beach.
    Watersports- Indulge in fun watersport activities like jet skiing, parasailing, scuba diving, wind surfing, kayaking, snorkeling and banana boat rides at the Nagoa and Ghoghla Beaches.
    Seafood- Diu offers a wide range of fresh and diverse seafood from Prawn curry, Fish Vindaloo, pomfret fry, crab masala and so much more.
    Churches- Explore the renowned and famous churches spread across Diu, such as St.Paul’s Church and the Church of St.Francis of Assisi.
    Ghoghla Beach- It is less explored yet a beach ideal for watersplrts such as Parasailing.
    St.Paul Church- It is one of the biggest functioning churches built by the Portuguese and has beautiful portico with motifs, carvings and lights.
    Fudam Bird Sanctuary- It is a marshland and is home to a varied species of migratory birds, especially flamingos.
    Diu Museum- It is an archaeological treasure house with over 400 year old wooden and marble statues of St.Thomas and St.Benedict.
    Prawn Coconut Curry- It is a curry made from coconut with prawns in coconut sauce.
    Undhiyu- It is a mixed vegetable dish cooked with a variety of spices, coconut, and sometimes even small dumplings.
    Fish Vindaloo- It is a type of fish curry. It is based on the Portuguese dish carne de vinha d'alhos.
    Feni- It is a popular portuguese-style local liquor in Diu.
